AN INCREDIBLE NATURAL PHENOMENON : THE OLIVINE BEACH AT PAPAKOLEA

 

Papakolea is in the great island of Hawai'i. The beach is naturally green due to the presence of a high quantity of olivine, a silicate mineral containing Iron and magnesium, which when in crystal form makes up the gem known as Peridot.
