SNOWDEN'S QUEST GETS TANGLED : ECUADOR GETS COLD FEET AND FRANCE PIPES UP

The outrage du jour has spilled onto France.  After revelations that the NSA has bugged EU offices, France and Germany are up in arms.  But feigning ignorance to appease the citizens is not always the best way to go.

Most of the European countries now incensed by the NSA are the ones who made most use of the surveillance and in certain cases adopted very similar measures in their country.
But France's pride is hurt, the parties contend.  Their response to all the commotion is to announce the possibility of offering Snowden asylum.  The proposition is coming from all parties in France.  They are also calling for a freeze of the free trade talks between the EU and the U.S.

The Left Party leader was the most vociferous.  He asserted that the U.S. reach in international surveillance is 'arrogant.'

The Guardian UK, the publication that has been entrusted with revealing the NSA secret by Snowden has unloaded another cache of documents on the weekend, in which are detailed the actions of the NSA in monitoring the US allies in Europe.

Hollande too has hastily added his voice to the chorus by telling the US to immediately stop spying on European institutions.
