As new surveillance pictures surface of an ex-police officer alleged to have committed three murders in a vindictive spree that followed his removal from the force in 2009, the whereabouts of Dorner, the man now hunted in multiple US states, are increasingly less clear.

Dorner, who is considered very high risk due to his special combat skills acquired during his service in the Navy, is proving to be putting his talents to good use.

After nearly a week of intensive searches, through snow and plain, the suspect is now believed to have fled into neighboring Mexico.

Just two days ago a bounty of 1,000,000 dollars as been promised for his capture or information leading to his capture.  The large bounty, one of the highest of its kind, could cause further complications as free-lancers join in in the manhunt to cash in on the bounty.

According to the US Marshal a force which is primarily employed in the recovery of fugitives in the US, the suspect is believed to have fled across the border, possibly with an associate, who has only been identified with his/her initials, and that the pair had been spotted near Costa Mesa, California, leading the Marshals to believe that his intentions were to cross into the neighboring country.

Since his killing of a fellow police officer, for which an indictment has been filed just yesterday, Dorner's past is coming to light in more detail.  In his manifesto, Dorner details that he does not believe he will survive the manhunt that seeks to bring him to justice.  In it, he also detailed what he believed to be a pattern of racist insults and ostracism against him following a report that Dorner had made against a fellow officer who had apparently beaten a mentally ill man while in custody.  According to the manifesto, Dorner's picture had been hung on a wall where every passing officer would spit on it, in protest of what they perceived as 'ratting out' one of their own.

The dark past of the LAPD seems to not have put to rest just yet.  As the manifesto is brought to light in more detail, new questions arise as to what role racism had played in Dorner's fated career in the LAPD department.
