FEMEN'S BOGUS REALITY: DOCUMENTARY REVEALS THAT THE FEMINIST GROUP MAY BE BUT A PUBLICITY STUNT

One had wondered about the beatiful creatures that populated the Femen demonstrations.  Most looked like models.  Most also seemed a bit too aware of themselves and not so much of the political ideal they were moved to disrobe for.

Now a documentary has thrown quite a shadow of doubt on the feminist movement.  It seems that the leader of the group was actually a man.  A man who was leading his very white, blonde flock to disrobe for publicity.

Already calls have risen for their disbandment.  At best, their credibility is shattered.  To make things worse, the documentary shows that the leader, a man, berated his 'pupils' before sending them out on the streets half naked.

The documentary, "Ukraine is not a brother", shows that Victor, the leader, chose the prettiest girls to go out on the streets, because as he contends, those are the ones who sell the most papers.

To make matters much, much worse, the documentarian asks Victor a question at the end, of whether his intent at the beginning was to create the group to actually meet beautiful women and date them, to which Victor sheepishly admits that yes, the thought was in his subconscious.

Victor, who is Victor Svyatski in real life, is a political scientist from the Ukraine.  But the Femen members outside the Ukraine, the Germans and other affiliated groups had no idea that behind the group lurked a very masculine hand.

Of course the Femen members in Ukraine have promptly dismissed the pivotal role Victor played, instead asserting that his role was that of a 'consultant' of sorts.  And it is also their assertion that Femen, and the women in it, at least in Ukraine have surpassed his authority, thereby proving the validity of their movement.  In other words, the patriarchal system and authority, even in a place like Ukraine can be overcome.

Some skeptics however, have called this a publicity stunt, one of many.   It is also true that Femen has severed itself of Victor, and that he had been brutally beaten right before Putin was to visit his country.

For some people, this narrative is but a stone in the river Femen must jump over to get to the 'other side'.  There is no doubt in many feminists' minds that Femen is sincere and powerful in its own right.
