RISK OF UTERINE CANCER TIED TO EXERCISE, DIET, RESEARCH REVEALS

Recent research shows that uterine cancer can be prevented, to the tune of half the cases, at least in the UK, by maintaining an exercise routine and keeping one's weight near normal parameters.

30 minutes of daily activity seems to be sufficient in reducing the probablity of developing the cancer.

Interestingly, the consumption of coffee also seems to play a positive role.  That evidence needs to be confirmed by further study, but in itself could be useful, since coffee is a readily available drink.

Endometrial or Uterine cancer, is the fourth leading cancer in the UK.  Unfortunately only 58% of women follow the advice to stay active in Britain.

The link between coffee and a reduced risk of cancer had been already observed in other cancer studies.  Coffee has antioxidants that reduce the risk of cancer in some cases.  Obviously there will be the need of a long term study in which coffee is the central factor in the study to confirm such findings.

Obviously coffee in moderation, rather than in excess would be beneficial, if confirmed.  Drinking more than 6 cups a day has already been tied to a higher risk of hypertension and other ill effects.
