If anyone thought that discrimination against the gay community was illegal needs to take a good look at what is happening in Centreville, Virginia.
In that town, which is not very far from the halls of power on the other side of the DC beltway, a fitness spa has made its policy that lbgt individuals are not allowed on the premises.
The fact, had not even made the news, were it not for a protest brought to the Better Business Bureau by a lesbian visitor from California, who was ousted from the spa by the management.
Notwithstanding the Better Business Bureau's investigation into the complaint, the health spa has responded that, issues of discrimination notwithstanding, their policy is to bar anyone who is homosexual or ehxhibits homosexual tendencies or behavior and they are apparently doing this, still in their worded response to the BBB's inquity, to 'safeguard young children at SPA WORLD."
Although the gay community has vowed to stop patronizing the Spa, it remains to be seen whether any action will be taken against it.
