SYRIA'S EXPLOSIVE CONFLICT : REBELS RELATE THAT SYRIAN ARMY HAS USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS AGAIN

Rebels in Syria are renewing claims that the Syrian army has used chemical weapons.

In this last instance a rocket was fired that killed two fighters instantly and wounded 23, who had to be treated with atropine. These claims cannot be verified by outside relators or observers.

The doctors have said that they believe phosphorus was used.  Phosphorus causes significant nerve damage and can kill by suppressing the nervous system.

The incident has occurred in the city of Adra, near the larger centre of Douma, where the wounded were carried for treatment.

Unfortunately, there is very little independent reporting from Syria, as the civil war has escalated, so that an official confirmation cannot be made at this time.
