THE SCHENKEN ZONE IMMIGRATION BACKLASH: WAS AN ITALIAN TEEN KILLED BY ANGRY MOB FOR BEING AN IMMIGRANT?

The deep recession gripping some of the EU countries has caused an even greater diaspora of indigenous people than the one made by foreign immigrants to the EU block.

One of the countries with the worse unemployed numbers of youths is Italy.  Most unemployed Italians dream of emigrating to another country to find work, which has become almost impossible, especially for those who are not wealthy and well connected.  With the rampant corruption and nepotism of the Italian job sector, many millions of people are shut out.  Manufacturing is shrinking too, in an almost dangerous way, as many take their activites across the border to other EU states where taxes are not so harsh.

One of the emigres who landed on British shores just a month ago however, has found his death.  England too, is pushing back on the wave of unfettered immigration that is washing over Europe, through the curtailment of social and health services. The young boy, who was only 19, was killed by an angry mob, who beat him to death while screaming epithets against immigrants.

The young boy's death however, is not being investigating as a hate crime.  Some are wondering why, already, the police is not heeding to the evidence that point to a mob killing complete with slanderous calls of "you steal our jobs" and others, heard by people in the vicinity.

There is more however, to this murder, than meets the eye.  Already, nine men are being held under suspicion of being involved in the murder of the young man, who was attacked outside the Italian restaurant where he worked.

However, only four of the nine appear to have been charged with the murder, according to the Guardian UK.

Although it appears that the killing followed some kind of altercation, the resulting beating and murder were done with the apparent hatred of someone who felt xenophobia against the young man.  But it could have been done so to cover the true motive for the attack.

The fact however, underlying the attack, is that all four who have been charged are not British, but Lithuanian nationals, which is prompting more scrutiny from the authorities into an alleged connection with the criminal underworld, and that the young man and his friends might have become victim of mistaken identity.   The four might have been sent to punish or kill someone other than the victims.
