A NEW FRONT ON BULLYING : DEATH THREATS DELIVERED VIA YOUTUBE BY MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS IN NEW JERSEY

Two girls in Paterson, New Jersey were suspended from school for threatening to kill another student and for doing it using a video that they posted to youtube.

The girls, are in seventh grade.

The video is quite lengthy, almost 21 minutes long.  In it the two girls name 10-12 classmates, and expressed their with to kill all of them.

The video has since been removed from Youtube, although it can be seen on news outlets such as NBC, but it has startling implications for children so young.

In the video, one of the girls even goes so far as to describe what is her alleged 'expertise' in killing, and even described that "I have special killing thingies for different people."

One of the students targeted by the girls, describes an incident that begun on Tuesday during a writing assignment, when the two girls wrote and read the names of the classmates they wished to kill. The teacher was not in the classroom at the time of reading.

The mother of on of the targeted girls, says that the school principal told her that the girls would be taken out of school.  Prosecutor were indeed made aware of the video very quickly.

The Mayor of Paterson expressed his dismay when he told reporters "let's hope that it was just frustrations and emotions and they didn't mean anything, but we cant' sit back and just hope."

The video has been called 'disturbing' by most of the officials that have viewed it however.  Especially in consideration of the fact that the girls are barely in their teens.

What is more worrisome to some in the school is that the two girls were not known to act out any of their emotions before.  In fact some say that there was absolutely no 'bullying, fights or anything even remotely similar.

The two girls will appear in court next week.
