NSA WHISTLEBLOWER POISED TO REVEAL MORE SECRETS

Edward Snowden is in hiding. Or at least that's what the news say.  Wherever he is hiding, he is not totally laying low.  Only a few days after his disappearance, he is vowing to release ever more damning information on data gathering by the US government.

He calls the new material 'explosive'.  What he is referring to apparently are the specific targets of Washington's surveillance.

The News come from the South China Morning Post, which has completed a new interview with the ex-contractor. The news outlet has vowed to release the new material very soon.

In the meantime, Snowden is actively building what would be his defense against an extradition order requested by the US government, which if the flurry of government activity is any indication, should come very soon. Snowden also says he believes the US government will bring the full might of its government to bear  on China with its extradition request, an effort he describes as a 'bullying effort'.

It will be very interesting to see how China responds to such requests.  On the one hand, if China caves in to the US demands too quickly, the vigorous democratic movement that is simmering in Hong Kong could ignite demonstrations.  On the other, if China resists on a case as visible as this, it could compromise the strides it has made in recent times in its relations with US .
