In a reaffirmation of its stance towards North Korea, China has issued a warning to the rogue state to stop agitating and talking of war.
The escalating war of words, and its appalling rhetoric, has tired even the once friendly nation. Even though North Korea blames its own escalation on the joint exercises in the South with the United States forces, it is obvious that the stance of the North Korean dictator is a fit of pique at the newly approved and delivered sanctions against him and his country, which were subscribed by China for the first time in history.
This underlines the already hardened attitude from China toward the small country's incresing restlessness. In so doing China, is reminding North Korea not of where its alliances stand, but that anyone who is willing to cause trouble so near its border or sphere of influence will be promptly rebuffed.
To further underscore China's firmness, the local north Korean embassy has not been vacated, even after the dictator admonished that all foreign presence should leave 'for their safety.'
The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, expressed frustration by saying that "we oppose provocative words and actions from any party in the region and do not allow trouble making on China's doorstep."
The Chinese authority have also issued statements that reiterate North Korea's need to protect any Chinese national currently in that country for diplomatic reasons or otherwise.
The only thing that concerns foreign countries who are monitoring the growing tension in the Korean peninsual is the possibility of a military error, which could precipitate a global conflict.
For their part the South Korean say they are ready for any conflict, because there has always been that possibility, and therefore their attitude is: "As you all know, on the Korean peninsula, it is not a matter of whether we will have war or not, but whether it will take place tomorrow or today."
