A long time coming, the backlash against immigrants was long overdue in the UK. The country is not immune to the problem of overpopulation and constant immigration.
The government has even approved reforms and measures designed to curb the 'desirability' aspect of obtaining a visa to the UK.
But as the economic conditions of Britain, and the rest of Europe, decline, the population generally starts to look among immigrants to find the culprit of their economic woes.
In general however, there is no strict ethnic identification of this finger pointing. But a discrete noise is becoming heard against the Muslim presence in the UK.
Some of the reports on crime speak for themselves. According to the latest statistics, 60% of all crime is perpetrated against Muslims.
The Islamic community in England is loathe to report hate crimes, which only intensifies the problem.
Even Sikhs, who are often mistaken for Muslims, are bearing the brunt of such negative sentiments.
In addition, Muslim women are attacked at a greater rate than men. In the first year of monitoring of the problem, 632 hate crimes against Muslim women have been recorded.
In one horrific case, a little five year old girl was run over for being Muslim. In another, a pregnant woman was forced to view the beating of her husband.
Even socialite Jemima Khan, the ex wife of cricketeer Imran Khan has received threats on her life for having married a Muslim.
Interesting too is the fact that unlike most countries, Muslims in the UK feel British and are better integrated than in other European countries.
