THE CRIME THAT WON'T GO AWAY : TEEN IS JAILED FOR PLANNED BOMB ATTACK AT HIGH SCHOOL

A teen in Oregon has been arrested and charged as an adult for a planned attack on his high school.

The teen had taken his inspiration from the Columbine massacre and sought to replicate its destruction and death toll.  In fact, the teen was so enamored by the tragic event, that he had copious notes on the deadly attack at his home.

Following a tip, police scoured the teen's home and found several home made bombs hidden under the floor planks of his room.

Grant Alan Acord, 17 years old, was arrested in West Albany, Portland last Thursday.

The police recovered at least six bombs from Acord's bedroom, including a pipe bomb, a napalm bomb, a Molotov cocktail and a bomb filled with drano.

The school Acord was planning to attack was West Albany High School.

The teen spent a very long time methodically preparing for the event.  What truly unsettled police was the fact that the teen had planned the attack in a video game approach to killing his targets at the high school.  There are already mental issue suspicions, although the boy did not have any problems at the school.
