MYSTERIOUS RESPIRATORY ILLNESS KILLS TWO SICKENS SEVEN IN ALABAMA

A mysterious outbreak of as of yet undetermined origin has struck Alabama, killing 2 and sickening 7.

So far the CDC has not completed the analysis of the exams to determine the cause of the outbreak, although one person was confirmed to have H1N1.

The Department of Health in Alabama, Prof. M. McIntyre has said that most of the people have come in sharing flu like symptoms, as in fever, cough and shortness of breath.

So far the local health authorities have been unable to determine how the mysterious illness is spreading or even what it is.

The area where the outbreak seems to be located is in southeast Alabama, an area that include Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston and Pike counties.

The outbreak began last Thursday, when the first patients started coming in.

At this point it seems that none of the people have any connecting factor of exposure that could give a hint as to where or how it was contracted.  None of the people sickened had traveled outside the country.

At this point authorities are advising against panicking, but they are on alert for additional cases with similar symptoms.
