A further confirmation that the Syria civil war is no longer contained within its boundaries, todya Hezbollah troops crossed into Syria from Lebanon to aid Assad, accompanied by French journalists.
The border zone between Syria and Lebanon is no longer porous, it has been obliterated. With the excuse that in the past two weeks the rebels have been pounding bordering villages in Lebanese territory, the Hezbollah rebels are now openly and in large numbers transiting into Syria to join the conflict.

Most of the villages bordering Syria are populated with Shi'a muslims, loyal to Assad.
